‘Religion Is Dangerous Topic’: Aamir Khan Opens Up On His Religious Views, Says He Wishes To Play Lord Krishna On Screen
Actor Aamir Khan recently opened up on his religious views in an interview and stated that he respects people of all faiths. "When I meet people, I don’t see their religion...I just see the person. Religion is such a dangerous topic that I don’t often speak about it. It is also very personal to every individual," he said.

Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, who is currently basking in the success of his latest release, Sitaare Zameen Par, opened up on his views on religion, and while at it, he also expressed his desire to play Lord Krishna on screen someday. Calling religion a “dangerous topic”, he added that he respects people from all faiths equally.
“When I meet people, I don’t see their religion. I just see the person,” he told Lallantop, adding, “Religion is such a dangerous topic that I don’t often speak about it in public. It is also a very personal thing to each and every individual. I respect people from all religions and the way they follow their religious paths.”
Aamir also shared that he is deeply inspired by the teachings of Guru Nanak, and that he also has a guru named Sucheta Bhattacharjee from whom he has learnt a lot.

During the same conversation, Aamir also expressed his wish to play Lord Krishna on screen. “It is very difficult to explain the impact that Lord Krishna has had on me. It is a very deep philosophy, whatever his stories teach us, what the Bhagavad Gita tells us about him. He is a very complete person. This is what I feel about him,” he said.
“I do wish to play Lord Krishna on screen. Let’s see if that could be possible,” he added.
Aamir, who has time and again spoken about bringing the Indian epic of Mahabharata on the big screen, shared that he is set to start work on it soon.

Meanwhile, Aamir’s latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is creating waves at the box office. The film, which released on June 20, has already minted s 109 crore at the box office.
Aamir has decided to not release the film on OTT, and he has reportedly also turned down multicrore offers from several OTT giants.
