It all began after Ranveer appeared as a guest in the latest episode of India's Got Latent, which is hosted by Samay Raina. During the episode, Ranveer asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life - or would you join in once and stop it forever?"
This did not go down well with netizens, who slammed the show and the content creators for promoting vulgarity online. Multiple complaints were also filed against Ranveer, Samay and others.
Post the backlash, Ranveer issued an apology, stating that there was a "lapse in judgement" on his part as comedy is not his forte.
Samay, on the other hand, announced that he had deleted all India's Got Latent videos from his YouTube channel.
