Jailer 2 Update: Rajinikanth Starrer To Be Officially Announced Soon In A Special Way - Deets Inside

Jailer starring Rajinikanth in the lead role was released in 2023, and it received a fantastic response at the box office. The Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial collected Rs. 348.55 crore (all languages) at the box office, and there have been reports of a sequel doing the rounds from the past few months. Now, finally, here's an update about Jailer 2 that everyone has been waiting for.

According to Gulte, the Rajinikanth starrer will be officially announced tomorrow (14th January). Yes, you read it right! Rajini fans will have a special Pongal and Makar Sankranti as their favourite super star's movie will be announced on 14th January 2025.

Reportedly, the movie will be announced with a special promo, and two promos have been certified. The runtime of one promo is 4 minutes 30 seconds, and another promo is 2 minutes 23 seconds. Well, let's wait and watch which promo will be released tomorrow during the announcement tomorrow.

Jailer also starred Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu and Sunil. Tamannaah's song Kaavaalaa had became a rage in 2023, and on YouTube, it has received around 290 million views till now.

Rajinikanth was last seen on the big screens in Vettaiyan which did a decent business at the box office. The movie, which also starrered Amitabh Bachchan, collected Rs. 146.81 crore. Currently, the superstar is shooting for Coolie which is being directec by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John and Junior MGR. Reportedly, even Aamir Khan has been roped in to do a cameo in the film, and he shot for it a few weeks ago. However, there's no confirmation about it.

Well, it looks like after Coolie, Rajinikanth will start working on Jailer 2. It will be interesting to see which actors from part 1 will be seen in the sequel as well.
