'Compromise Is Required': Barkha Singh Recalls Receiving Shocking E-mail For Role In South Film, Says 'Naam Nahi Daala Tha'

Actress Barkha Singh, who was recently seen in Criminal Justice 4, recalled receiving a shocking e-mail offering a role in a South film but in exchange for "compromise". She shared that while she has never faced any casting couch experience on face, she has proof that it happened over e-mail.

"Someone put it on my e-mail. I think it was something for the South, and I have a proof where this person was like, ‘These many shoot days required, and the vitals should be at least 36; compromise is required’. You are giving it in writing means you are so okay with it," she told Hauterrfly.

She went on to say, "Naam nahi daala ki kiske saath compromise..."

Barkha revealed that it did not happen long back, but instead, it happened "within this decade" itself. "No one has said it in the face. But I think I also — because I know this exists — and I’m very wary of it. So, like, I try very hard to not get only in those situations," she added.

On the work front, Barkha played the role of assistant lawyer Shivani Mathur in Criminal Justice season 4. The series also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Asha Negi and others in key roles, and it streams on Jio Hotstar.

Besides, Barkha has also been a part of shows like Engineering Girls and Please Find Attached. She also played a key role in Madhuri Dixit's film, Maja Ma, co-starring Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmick, Srishti Shrivastava, and others.
