Chandrachur Singh: 'I was supposed to work with Sushmita in the 90’s, but things didn’t fall into place back then'
'Aarya' series also marked Sushmita Sen’s screen comeback and her debut on an Indian OTT.

Actor Chandrachur Singh, who was seen in films like Josh, Kya Kehna, and Maachis made his remarkable comeback with the much talked about show Aarya in 2020, where he played Tej, a business tycoon who mysteriously gets shot and leaves his wife Aarya, played by Sushmita Sen, and three young kids back.
The actor not only received positive feedback from the audience, but his chemistry with Sushmita Sen also received attention. In a quick chat with The Free Press Journal, Chandrachur reveals his experience shooting Aarya with Sushmita.
He shares, “It was a wonderful experience with her and an excellent team. Ram Madhvani sir is a brilliant director. I and Sushmita did many workshops which were really helpful for us as actors. In fact, I was supposed to work with her in the 90’s, but things didn’t fall into place back then. She is a lovely person to work with. We both had a great time working together on Aarya.”
Aarya has witnessed two consecutive successful seasons, and now the makers are aiming for the third season. The show is based on the Dutch drama series Penoza. Co-directed and co-created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi, Aarya also stars Ankur Bhatia, Manish Chaudhary, Sikandar Kher, and others in pivotal roles.
The crime-thriller show, which is headlined by Sushmita Sen, shows the journey of a woman who can go to any extent to save her family from every possible odd. The show also marked Sushmita’s screen comeback and her debut on an Indian OTT.
