UPSSSC Extends PET 2026 Application Deadline Till September 7

Lucknow, September 1: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has provided major relief to candidates appearing for the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2026 (PET-2026). The Commission has extended the last date for registration, fee payment, and submission of online application forms for PET-2026 from September 1 to September 7, 2026. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Commission.

According to the communication issued by the Commission, the advertisement for the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2026 (PET-2026) was published on August 1, 2026. The online application process commenced on August 3, 2026. Earlier, the last date for registration, fee payment, and submission of online application forms had been fixed as September 1, 2026. The Commission has now provided candidates with an additional opportunity by extending this deadline until September 7, 2026.

Under the revised arrangement, candidates wishing to appear in PET-2026 can now register, deposit the prescribed application fee, and submit their online application forms until September 7, 2026. This will provide relief to candidates who, for any reason, were unable to complete the application process within the prescribed timeline. With the extension of the application deadline, candidates have received an additional opportunity to complete their applications in time.

The Commission has clarified that the last date for fee adjustment and modification of application forms will remain September 8, 2026. This means that if candidates wish to make any modification in their submitted applications under the prescribed provisions, they will have time until September 8. Candidates have been advised to complete the process while keeping the revised deadline in mind and not to wait until the last moment.

The Commission has also clarified that only the last date for registration, fee payment, and submission of online application forms has been changed. The application process, application fee, basis of selection, prescribed conditions, and all other guidelines for PET-2026 will remain the same as those published earlier in the advertisement issued by the Commission. Therefore, candidates will be required to complete the application process strictly in accordance with all the rules and instructions contained in the original advertisement for PET-2026.
