Mumbai: A teacher was booked for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl on multiple occasions inside a classroom, a Mumbai police official said on Friday.
The 40-year-old man used to touch the Class 6 student inappropriately during class hours, and the incident came to light when she narrated her ordeal to her family, the Samta Nagar police station official said.
"A case was registered against the teacher on Thursday. As per the complaint, he would touch her inappropriately on the pretext of holding her hand and administering punishment," the official informed.
