JNU DOP Admission 2026-27: The Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) program at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has begun accepting students for the 2026–2027 academic year.The official schedule states that the online application procedure will start on August 6 and run to August 17, 2026, at 11:50 p.m.The official JNU admissions portal is where interested individuals can submit their applications.

Students may apply if they have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from an accredited board. Additionally, the university has made it clear that there is no upper age limit for program entry.

Candidates applying for JNU Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) programmes can check the key admission dates below:

JNU DOP Admission 2026-27: Eligibility criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) programmes at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent examination.

They must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

2. Certificate of Proficiency in the Language

Candidates must hold a Certificate of Proficiency in the concerned language.

An examination recognised as equivalent to the Certificate of Proficiency will also be accepted.

This requirement applies to the respective DOP programmes in Bahasa Indonesia, Mongolian, Hebrew, Uzbek and Pali.

3. Candidates From Other Education Patterns

Candidates whose educational qualification is based on a pattern other than 10+2 can also apply.

Such candidates must have successfully completed the first year of a Bachelor's degree examination from a recognised university.

They must have secured at least 45% marks in the first year.

4. One-Year Part-Time DOP Programmes

The DOP programmes in Bahasa Indonesia, Mongolian, Uzbek and Hebrew are offered as one-year part-time courses.

These programmes are open to candidates who have completed the Certificate of Proficiency course in the concerned language.

Admission will be based on the merit/performance of candidates.

Candidates applying for the Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) programmes will have to pay the application fee based on their category and the number of choices selected.

JNU DOP Admission 2026: Steps to Apply Online

Candidates applying for the JNU Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) programmes can follow these steps to complete the online application process:

Step 1: Register for the Online Application

Visit the official JNU admission portal and begin the online registration process.

Enter the required personal and other details in the application form.

Create a password and select a security question and answer.

After successfully submitting the details, a system-generated Application Number will be issued.

Note down the Application Number, as it will be required to complete the remaining application process and for future correspondence.

Candidates can use the Application Number and password for subsequent logins.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

Log in using the system-generated Application Number and password.

Complete all remaining sections of the application form.

Check the information entered carefully before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature

Upload the candidate's latest photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.

The scanned photograph should be between 10 KB and 200 KB.

The scanned signature should be between 4 KB and 30 KB.

The photograph can be coloured or black and white but should have clear contrast.

Candidates should upload the correct photograph and signature carefully, as the facility to correct these images will not be provided.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

Pay the application fee through the available online payment options.

Candidates can use Net Banking, Credit Card or UPI.

Select the preferred payment option and follow the instructions to complete the transaction.

After successful payment, candidates will be able to print the Confirmation Page.

If the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment, the transaction will be cancelled and the amount will be refunded.

In such a case, candidates will need to make another payment transaction to complete the application process.

Keep the Application Number Safe

Candidates should carefully note down the Application Number printed on the computer-generated Confirmation Page.

The Application Number must be mentioned in all future correspondence with the University regarding the application.

Candidates should not share their password with anyone.
