Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met investors of wellness sectors in one-on-one discussion and introduced them with the state's investor-friendly policies during the Spiritual and Wellness Summit in Ujjain on Thursday.
CM Yadav further emphasised that Madhya Pradesh is committed to becoming a major center for spiritual and wellness tourism. The strong response from investors is expected to boost employment and economic growth in the state and help Madhya Pradesh find a prominent place on the global wellness map.
The occasion was graced by leading wellness and hospitality industry figures like Vinod Bhandari (Aurobindo Hospital), Mukund Prasad (Leisure Hotels), Mrityunjay Swami (Shatayu Ayurveda), and others, who expressed interest in investing in the state.
‘MP itself is a well experience’
Speaking during a panel discussion, Principal Secretary of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts, Shiv Shekhar Shukla, said that visiting Madhya Pradesh itself is a wellness experience. He highlighted serene destinations like Pachmarhi and Amarkantak, national parks, and spiritual places like Ujjain, Maihar, and Omkareshwar.
Shukla discussed the "4 Cs" that attract investors:
Connectivity - Madhya Pradesh is centrally located and well-connected with 8 airports.
Climate - The pleasant weather suits all tourists.
Cleanliness - Bhopal is the cleanest capital, and Indore is India's cleanest city.
Cash Benefits -The state offers attractive subsidies and single-window permissions.
‘Ujjain is the Spiritual Heart of India’
Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Raghvendra Singh, said that Ujjain is not only a spiritual center for Madhya Pradesh but also for the entire country. He explained that the summit aims to promote wellness tourism and attract investment, which will lead to economic growth and new employment opportunities.
Plans for Simhastha 2028
Ujjain Collector Roshan Kumar Singh presented the development roadmap for Simhastha 2028. Plans include uninterrupted flow of the Shipra River, improved transport, better civic amenities, cultural development, IT parks, and more. He announced that 10 lakh sq. ft. of ready-to-move land is available for wellness centers and invited all investors to explore opportunities in Ujjain.

Investors and stakeholders shared their insights during the panel on “Ideating the Partnership Model.”
Speakers included Mukund Prasad (Leisure Hotels), Swami Chaitanya Hari (Yog Nisarg), Ramesh Warrier (AVN Group), and Dr. Megha KL (Apollo Ayurveda). All agreed that Madhya Pradesh offers great potential for spiritual and wellness tourism and encouraged others to invest.
