WATCH: Bhopal Residents Struggle As Metro Work, Clogged Drains Turn Bhopal Roads Into Rivulets |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal residents are facing major water-logging at Alpana Tiraha and Platform Number 6 of the Bhopal Railway Station after a heavy downpour in the city.
The matter came forward through a video which is going viral on social media at present.
In the video, it can be seen that the pedestrians were forced to walk through the flooded roads in which water touched their knees. Not just them, but vehicles were either stuck or were moving through the roads turned into rivulets.
The situation worsened because of ongoing metro construction work, which has led to blocked drains and poor water management. Even after regular complaints by citizens, the area floods every year during monsoon season.
The Municipal Corporation claims they are working on the issue, but residents are still struggling with waterlogged roads and traffic jams.
