Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A massive fire erupted in Madhya Pradesh Gwalior causing burn injuries to 4 people on Saturday night. The fire also engulfed 6 houses, two vehicles and tonnes of fodder completely.
According to information, the incident took place in Rarua village of Chinaur area in Gwalior’s Bhitarwar.
The injured villagers have been identified as Padam Kushwaha, Madan Parihar, Matadin Baghel, and the 20-year-old son of Vinod Parihar. They were given first aid and later referred to Gwalior for treatment.
Fire causes huge loss
It is said that strong winds made the blazes grow quickly, diverting it towards the residential area. Two loading vehicles, haystacks, two trucks, and some motorcycles were destroyed.
As soon as informed, five fire trucks from Chinaur and Bhitarwar rushed to the spot to control the fire.
Senior officials take matter into cognizance
Chinaur police station in-charge Shailendra Gurjar, Karahiya station in-charge Devendra Lodhi, and administrative officers helped the villagers fight the fire.
Local MLA Mohan Singh Rathore also visited the site and consoled the affected families.
The fire caused damage in other areas too, including Ghatampur village, where it reached Khiriya and Bagbai farms. Fire along the roadside disrupted traffic as well. The fire is still affecting nearby villages like Kaithi, Gharsaudi, and Bhori.
Senior officials including the Gwalior ADM, Bhitarwar SDM Sanjeev Jain, SDOP Jitendra Nagaich, and the Tehsildar visited the spot. Many houses lost all their belongings, and several animals were also caught in the fire.
