3-Year-Old Girl Kidnapped By Drunk Wedding Guest In MP’s Gwalior; CCTV Clip Viral

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 3-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from a wedding function by a drunk man who had come to attend the same wedding in Gwalior on Wednesday.

The child was rescued safely within three hours, with the swift action by police.

According to information, the incident happened around 11:30 PM during a wedding in the Kampoo area of Gwalior.

The girl, who had come with her family, suddenly went missing. After failing to find her inside the venue, her family informed the police.

Police arrived quickly and checked CCTV footage from outside the marriage garden, in which a man was seen walking away with the child.

Police then reviewed footage from over 50 CCTV cameras at nearby roads and crossings.

With the help of the footage, they managed to trace the accused and caught him during a road check in the Nai Sadak area.

The kidnapper was identified as Pravesh Jatav. He was reportedly drunk and had also come to attend the same wedding.

When he saw the girl alone, he took her away.

Police said their quick response helped prevent any harm. The accused is now in custody and being questioned.
