Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a five-year-old was buried to death after a kutcha house collapsed over her in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, as reported on Saturday.

According to information, the incident occurred on Saturday morning in Imlaudi village under Indar police station limits, when a mud house suddenly collapsed due to heavy rain.

Unfortunately, a five-year-old girl sleeping inside was buried under the debris and died on the spot.

The deceased girl has been identified as Saloni, daughter of Rajendra Jatav. It is said, Rajendra was having tea with his family members outside the house.

Saloni was asleep inside when the house collapsed suddenly. By the time the debris was cleared and Saloni was pulled out, she had already passed away.

Local villagers revealed that Rajendra Jatav had not received the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister's Housing Scheme). Due to this, he was forced to live in a weak, mud-built house.

The villagers blamed the administration for negligence, saying that the tragedy could have been avoided if the family had received proper housing support on time.

Indar police station in-charge Dinesh Narwaria confirmed that a case has been registered and the girl’s body was sent for post-mortem.
