Sehore Becoming Film-Shooting Hub: Films Like Lapata Ladies And Homebound, Which Got International Recognition Were Shot In Sehore | FPJ
Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): The scenic beauty of Sehore district has attracted many film and web series directors. Two films, Home Bound and Lapata Ladies, shot in the district have earned international accolades.
Lapata Ladies, shot in Bamulia village in Sehore, was included in the list of the Oscar Awards. Similarly, Homebound, also shot in Sehore, received appreciation at the Cannes Film Festival.
The film was screened at the festival. The judges and critics gave a standing ovation to the actors and the directors of the film on May 21 this year for nine minutes. The film was shot at the Sehore headquarters and its nearby villages, like Magar Kheda, Chhapri, Sehore rail station and Tagore school.
The film was shot for 22 days in the district. Neeraj Ghaywan directed the film. Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhavi Kapoor starred in the film.

Many films have been shot in Sehore. A hilarious web series, Chaar Season, was also shot in Sehore. Besides, the web series Ashram, Toilet Ki Pramkatha, and Gangajal Two were also shot in the district.
Another web series, Panchayat, which also hogged the limelight, was shot in Mahodiya village.
