Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentionedRatapani Tiger Reserve and Gwalior's start-up initiatives during his Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday. Ratapani, which recently received the status of a Tiger Reserve, was praised by the PM as an example of India's commitment to preserving wildlife.
He said that Indian culture and heritage teach us to live in harmony with animals and birds. PM Modi also said that the establishment of two new tiger reserves would strengthen relationship between wildlife and local communities. In his address, the Prime Minister also talked about the growth of start-up centres, mentioning seven cities, including Gwalior.
Reflecting on the nine years of the Start-Up India initiative, he said that start-ups are no longer confined to major cities, but are expanding in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions. Notably, more than half of these start-ups are being led by women. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav listened to the Mann Ki Baat programme at Yog Kendra in Idgah Nagar.
During the broadcast, Arjuna Awardee Kapil Parmar from Sehore also paid a courtesy visit to the CM. The CM congratulated Parmar on his achievement and shared his appreciation for the Mann Ki Baat programme, describing it as an inspiring platform that highlights innovation and individual initiative. The mention of Ratapani Tiger Reserve and Gwalior's start-up ecosystem, he said, has motivated and encouraged people of the state.
