Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident was reported in Jabalpur on Tuesday after a youth allegedly consumed poison and went out for a drive. The victim started feeling unconscious and lost control over wheel, leading to his accident.
He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital and his condition is said to be critical.
Burdened with financial struggles
According to information, a youth identified as Shivkumar Patel was battling mounting amount of financial struggles and had overdue loan bills. Distraught over his financial stuggle, Patel consumed a poisionous substance and set out for driving his car.
Vehicle overturns as driver lost control
Eyewitness revealed that, Patel lost control over his car and his vehicle overturned near the roadside. Passerby and locals rushed to the spot and rescued him out of his damaged vehicle.
Condition remains critical
He was promptly shifted to Civil Hospital Patan in Jabalpur for immediate medical assistance and emergency treatment. Looking at the severity of his condition, doctors further referred him to Jabalpur's advanced care. Hospital sources said his condition remains critical.
According to family and relatives, Patel was burdened and under immense stress since last few months due to financial pressure.
Police lodged a case of poison consuming and are further investigating the matter thoroughly to gather all the evidences and circumstances that led to the incident.
