Newborn Undergoes Rare MRI At AIIMS Bhopal, Referred With A Suspected Brain Condition |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a remarkable medical effort, doctors at AIIMS Bhopal successfully conducted an MRI procedure on a newborn referred with a suspected brain condition.
The infant was admitted to the hospital after preliminary diagnostic tests failed to confirm any clear issue, prompting the need for advanced imaging.
Given the child’s delicate condition, the MRI unit team prioritised the case and scheduled the scan at the earliest possible time. MRI procedures on newborns are especially complex due to loud noise, confined space and potential stress to the baby.
A dedicated team of specialists closely monitored the baby throughout the 45-minute procedure, ensuring complete medical supervision.
