Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident of robbery was reported from Madhya Pradesh's Morena district, where 200 cartridges of 9 mm pistols and self-loading rifles were allegedly stolen from the Morena Police Line premises on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday.
The police have registered an FIR against unidentified accused and have started searching for all the angles. The thieves have not been traced as of now.
According to information, the police line personnel found the lock of the SAF armoury broken on Sunday morning. As the armoury consists of weapons of the soldiers of the SAF battalion, the broken lock caused panic in the entire police department. The police personnel then immediately informed Security Inspector Kanak Singh Chauhan.
200 cartridges of 9mm pistols and self-loading rifles were stolen
During the investigation, it was found that 200 cartridges of 9mm pistols and self-loading rifles were gone. Following this, the finger expert team also reached the spot and conducted an investigation. No information regarding the thieves could be traced as of now. Further investigations are underway.
This robbery incident has raised serious concerns regarding security protocols at the police department and highlighted the need for improved measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
