Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, interacted with a beneficiary of SVAMITVA Yojana, Manohar Mewada. Mewada hails from Pipaliya Meena Gram Panchayat of Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore. The MP interacted with him during the e-distribution of property cards.
During the interaction, PM Modi asked Mewada about how getting a property card has changed his life.
To this, the beneficiary Mewada informed that earlier he was unable to get a bank loan due to lack of land documentation. However, after getting the card, he easily got a loan of ₹10 lakh through which he started a dairy farm.
‘Able to earn a living now’
Now, he owns five cows and five buffaloes and is perfectly able to earn a livelihood from the same. In fact, he manages to earn ₹30k per month. Out of this he pays a loan installment of ₹16k.
Learning about this, PM Modi expressed happiness on how Swamitva Yojana has reduced the difficulties persisting in Mewada’s life and brought economic empowerment to him.
According to information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed out more than 65 lakh property cards to property owners as part of the SVAMITVA scheme, benefiting residents across ten states and two union territories.
