MP News: Over 1 Lakh Student Get Seats In Private Schools Through RTE Online Lottery; Second Phase On April 15
Over 1.06 lakh children were allotted private school seats through an RTE online lottery on Thursday. Around 51,000 got first-choice schools. Parents can check details via the RTE portal and SMS. Admissions must be completed April 3 - 15. A second phase after April 15 will allot remaining seats. Complaints can be filed if schools deny admission.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): More than 1.06 lakh children in Madhya Pradesh have been allotted seats in private schools through an online lottery held on Thursday.
The lottery was carried out under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. The process was conducted by the State Education Center and was also live-streamed.
A total of 1,78,714 applications were received for 1,22,551 seats in around 22,000 private schools. After verification, eligible children were allotted schools through the lottery system.
Second phase on April 15
A phase 2 of the lottery will also be conducted. Children who did not get a seat in the first phase will get another chance after April 15, when a second round of lottery will be conducted for vacant seats.
51k children receive first-choice schools
Around 51k children received their first-choice schools, while others were allotted schools based on available options.
The entire process was completed through a single-click system, ensuring transparency.
Parents can check school details and download the allotment letter from the RTE portal. Information has also been sent via SMS to registered mobile numbers.

Parents must complete admissions between April 3 and April 15 by visiting the allotted school with required documents.
Attendance will be recorded through a mobile app using photo and OTP verification.
If any school refuses admission, parents can file a complaint with local authorities for immediate action.
