MP June 9 Weather Update: More Heavy Rain Likely In State, Flood Risk In Over 40 Districts
Due to these weather systems, the rainfall is likely to continue across many parts of the state.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Due to several active weather systems, many parts of Madhya Pradesh are experiencing continuous rainfall.
Eastern Madhya Pradesh, in particular, is facing flood-like conditions in several districts.

On Tuesday, between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Pachmarhi recorded 130 mm of rain, followed by Narmadapuram (32 mm), Betul (27 mm), Malajkhand (23 mm), Chhindwara (21 mm), Shivpuri (20 mm), Damoh (19 mm), Seoni (16 mm), Narsinghpur (8 mm), Mandla (7 mm), Sagar (4 mm), Indore (2 mm), and Jabalpur (1 mm).
According to weather experts, very heavy rainfall is expected today in Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. Heavy rain may also occur in districts under Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol, and Bhopal divisions.
Districts that may receive heavy rain today include Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Datia, Ashoknagar, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Mauganj, Maihar, Jabalpur, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Shahdol, Umaria, and Anuppur.
Meteorologist said the monsoon trough currently stretches from Bathinda, Rohtak, Kanpur, and Daltonganj to a low-pressure area near West Bengal and the Bay of Bengal. A cyclonic circulation is also present in the upper layers of the air around this area.
This system is expected to move towards northern Chhattisgarh through Jharkhand in the next two days. Another cyclonic system is present over southern Gujarat. A trough is also active from northeast Arabian Sea to West Bengal, passing through southern Gujarat, northern Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, southern Chhattisgarh, and southern Odisha.
Due to these weather systems, the rainfall is likely to continue across many parts of the state.
