MP: Fraudsters Pose As Crime Branch Officials To Target Teachers In Morena; Threaten Them With Fake Letters Of National Crime Intelligence Force

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A group of fraudsters pose as officials of crime branch to target school teachers in Madhya Pradesh's Morena. They forced them to submit money and personal documents, threatening them with fake letters of 'National Crime Intelligence Force.'
The victims approached the police station and filed the complaint on Monday.
According to information, the accused demanded ₹50,000 from the teacher named Srinivas, and also asked him to submit his mark sheets, caste certificate, and educational documents for verification.

They even visited his school to pressurise him for the money.
For the last 15 days, the fraudsters had been targeting teachers by sending fake letters using the name of the National Crime Intelligence Force.
These letters called teachers to a fake office in Morena for document verification.
When the victims realised the fraud, they filed an FIR, revealing that the accused were using fake information to collect money.
The Kotwali police arrested three suspects and handed the case over to Porsa police for further investigation. CSP Vijay Bhadoria confirmed that the gang had been operating for a long time, pretending to be crime branch officers.
The police are now working to determine whether the gang has been active in other districts and to identify other members of the network. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities have assured strict action against the culprits.
