Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang visited Jabalpur to analyse the possibilities of water sports at Jabalpur's Kosam Ghat. He also inspected the Rowing Academy run by the Army and discussed the possibilities of developing it further with authorities.
During the inspection, Sarang said that the state government will work with the Army to further improve the Rowing Academy and operate it on a larger scale.
He emphasized that there is immense potential for water sports in and around Jabalpur. Places like Kosam Ghat are not only suitable for water sports, but can also boost regional tourism.

He mentioned that the state government is working on many schemes for the development of sports and players. The government's priority was to upgrade sports facilities and provide better training opportunities to the youth at local and international level.
Minister added that a special plan will be made for the development of Kosam Ghat. The field of water sports will provide new and exciting employment opportunities to the youth and government will provide all possible support to the players
Later, Sarang said that the government was working to modernize the grounds and facilities as well as spread awareness about sports.
It will help in improving the sports sector and also boost the local economy and tourism in Madhya Pradesh.
