Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The dispute in the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) will end after Chief Minister Mohan Yadav returns from the foreign trip.
According to sources, Yadav has taken feedback on the SEIAA issue during his foreign trip. After his return to Bhopal, the Chief Minister will hold a meeting to work out the issue.
Yadav has directed the officers to find a way out. Now, the preparations are underway to put up the case before him. The cases for which the deemed permission was given without a meeting of the SEIAA will also be settled.
According to sources, the proposed SEIAA meeting will be held after the transfer of the principal secretary of the environment department, Navneet Kothari, and the SEIAA member secretary, Uma Maheshwari.
In the meeting, the officials will mull over the cases in which the deemed permission was given. Along with this, the long-pending cases in SEIAA will also figure in the meeting.
Two months have passed since a meeting of SEIAA was not held. As there was no meeting, many projects have stuck.
The State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) has given appraisals for some people, but as no meeting has taken place, they are writing to SEIAA to give deemed permission. To work out this problem, it is necessary to organise a meeting of SEIAA.
