Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): An incident of triple murder was reported from Rautora village of Madhya Pradesh Shivpuri district on Monday morning. An elderly couple and their neighbour were found dead in a hut under suspicious circumstances.
The murderers allegedly fled with ₹70k cash and gold jewelry from the victims' home.
According to police, the three deceased were identified as Sitaram Lodhi (70), his wife Munni Bai (70) and their neighbour woman Suraj Bai (65). Their bodies were recovered from a hut near Sitaram’s house under Mayapur police station area of Shivpuri's Khaniyadhana region.
Reason behind still unknown
As per sources, Sitaram’s grandson was the first one to find the three bodies in the morning after he ended-up inside the hut while finding his grandfather. Sitaram was found with a noose tightened around his neck and his wife had head injuries. Suraj Bai appeared to have been strangled to death.
After being informed, police forces from three stations, along with the SDOP and SP, had reached the crime scene and interrogated the villagers to find out more details about the case. The reason behind the murder is yet to be discovered.
Police have launched an investigation in order to identify and arrest the unknown and absconding accused.
