Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): High Court directs state government to declare result of NSUI state president Ravi Parmar, ensure MSc admission within 4 weeks
The principal bench of the High Court in Jabalpur has directed the state government to declare the result of NSUI state president Ravi Parmar and to facilitate his admission into MSc within a period of four weeks. The court’s decision comes after Parmar approached the High Court seeking relief when he was barred from appearing for the examination due to an FIR lodged against him.
The double bench, comprising Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Vinay Saraf, issued the order, emphasizing that the state government must declare the results of the examination which Parmar was permitted to appear in by the court’s order dated October 16, 2024. The court further directed that if Parmar qualifies the exam, the state must ensure that he is included in the counseling process and admitted to the MSc course without unnecessary delay.
Advocate Abhishek Pandey, who represented Parmar, informed Free Press that the FIR had made Parmar ineligible under the existing criteria, preventing him from even filling out the examination form. Parmar then moved the High Court, which intervened and allowed him to appear for the exam. However, despite sitting for the examination, his results were withheld, leading to further legal proceedings.
The High Court’s latest directive ensures that Parmar’s future academic prospects are not unfairly compromised, and the state government has been given a strict timeline of four weeks to comply with the order and submit its response.
