Free Helmets Distributed To Promote Road Safety In Narmadapuram

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A free helmet distribution program was organized on Thursday in an effort to enhance road safety by the transport department in front of Prime Minister Excellence College as part of Road Safety Month initiatives.

The program aimed to promote helmet usage among motorcyclists to reduce head injuries in accidents.

During the program, approximately 75 helmets were distributed to riders who were found without proper headgear. Prior to receiving the free helmets, 25 such riders were issued challans, resulting in the collection of Rs. 12,500 in fines.

This approach aimed to enforce traffic regulations while encouraging safer riding practices.

Distinguished guests, including Member of Parliament Maya Narolia and Municipal Council President Neetu Mahendra Yadav, participated in the event.

They emphasized the critical role helmets play in safeguarding riders' lives, noting that head injuries are a leading cause of fatalities in two-wheeler accidents. The event also saw active participation from RTO Nisha Chauhan, local showroom operators, and school representatives.

They collectively urged the community to consistently use helmets and advocate for road safety among peers to prevent life-threatening injuries.

Officials emphasized the critical role of helmets in preventing head injuries during accidents. They urged citizens to prioritize helmet usage and spread awareness within their communities.
