Doctor Demands ₹500 For Issuing Medical Certificate In MP's Satna; Video Goes Viral
Authorities have stated that action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.

Satna(Madhya Pradesh): A video has gone viral on social media, reportedly showing a medical officer at Satna District Hospital in Madhya Pradesh demanding ₹500 from a student for issuing a medical certificate on Sunday.
The video is being shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user with the handle named ‘Yamraj’, whose bio reads: MBBS, PGDCMF, MD (Forensic Medicine) | Assistant Professor | Autopsy Surgeon.

In the clip, the officer is seen sitting on a chair while the student stands before him. The student is heard asking, “Kyun nahi karenge sir?” (Why won’t you do it, sir?), and the officer replies, “Nahi karunga” (I won’t do it). Another part of the video suggests the officer had earlier agreed to issue the certificate for ₹500 but later refused.
The student has been identified as Ayush Dwivedi, who had visited the hospital to get a medical certificate for his MPEB apprenticeship.
The officer involved is reported to be Dr. Lokesh Soni, who was on duty from 2 PM to 8 PM.
Reacting to the viral clip, Civil Surgeon Dr. Manoj Shukla has ordered an investigation into the matter.
Authorities have stated that action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.
