Bhopal Street Vendors Assault BMC Officials During Anti-Encroachment Drive (WATCH)

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A video has surfaced on social media showing women slapping municipal employees during an encroachment drive at Bhojpur Square in Bhopal.
In the video, women can be seen slapping municipal employees and even each other. Vegetable vendors are seen arguing aggressively with the municipal officers, to stop the removal of illegal structures.

According to the information, BMC workers arrived at the spot to carry out an anti-encroachment drive. However, the vendors resisted and refused to comply, leading to an argument with the officers.
When the officers remained firm and did not agree to their demands, the situation escalated, and the vendors started assaulting and beating the officials.

Following the incident, the encroachment officer lodged a complaint at Bagsevania Police Station, seeking action against those involved in obstructing the drive.
The police have initiated an investigation, with the viral video expected to help identify the individuals responsible for the disruptions.
The video, now viral on social media, highlights the challenges faced by municipal teams during such drives and the resistance often encountered from encroachers unwilling to comply with regulations.
