Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man made off with the shoes of a police constable when he visited a mosque to conduct investigation of clash in Talaiya area on Wednesday morning. He was checking CCTV footages inside a mosque when a man decamped with his shoes.
Some youths had clashed near Itwara Crossing late Tuesday night resulting in injuries to some. On Wednesday morning, Talaiya police received information about the incident. Constable Dharmendra Raghuvanshi posted at Talaiya police station went to investigate at the spot.
Dharmendra spotted that a CCTV camera was installed at a mosque opposite spot where the clash took place. Dharmendra went inside the mosque to check the CCTV footages and returned after some time. He was shocked to find his shoes missing.

The constable then spotted another CCTV camera installed, which covered the entries in mosque. Constable Dharmendra checked the footage of CCTV cameras in which a healthy man in his thirties was seen coming out of mosque with other people after the namaz. The footages show the man taking a look at all pair of shoes outside the mosque.
Then, he looks around to observe if anyone was watching. The man then quickly wears the shoes of constable and walks away. Talaiya police station incharge Chaturbhuj Rathore said the constable had gone to investigate the clash and lost his shoes. The man was seen stealing the shoes in CCTV camera, he added.
