Bhopal: College Student Abducts  Classmate, Molests Her In Car

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 19-year-old college student was allegedly abducted from her hostel by her classmate and molested in a car in Govindpura area.

The youth had planned to take the girl to a hotel but she managed to flee from his car, police said. Govindpura police said a case has been registered against the youth and efforts were underway to trace and arrest him, police said.

In her complaint to police, the college student said that she lives in a girls’ hostel. Her classmate Tanishq Jain was stalking her for some time and was harassing her, the victim stated in her complaint.

On Sunday evening, she was standing outside her hostel when Tanishq Jain approached her and started forcing her to talk to him. The victim tried to avoid him and walked out of the place but Tanishq, who was in a car, drag her into his car.

The youth took out an iron rod when the girl resisted and threatened to hit her. Tanishq allegedly molested the girl inside his car.  He was planning to take her to a hotel but the girl somehow managed to flee and called up her family. On Monday, she along with her family approached Govindpura police and lodged an FIR.

In-charge at Govindpura police station Awadhesh Singh Bhadoria said efforts were underway to trace and arrest the accused who is on the run.
