Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Advocate Ashish Shukla was attacked in Bhopal on Tuesday after sharing drug mafia’s details with the polcie. He has been admitted to JP Hospital.

Shukla had been providing tips to the police about drug mafia activities to help break their networks and rackets in the state capital. Based on his information, police took action against the drug mafia, advocates said. They added that this led to the attack on Advocate Shukla.
Earlier, authorities had seized mephedrone (MD) drugs valued at Rs 1,814 crore along with raw materials from a factory on the outskirts of Bhopal. Two people were arrested in connection with the case, officials said on October 6, 2024. This incident highlighted Bhopal as a major hub for drug mafia activities.
