Bhopal: ADGs, IGs Make Surprise Check At 565 Police Stations |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): ADGs, IGs and officials of other ranks made a surprise visit at 565 police stations across the state on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday and checked the working of the police personnel.
DGP Kailash Makwana had instructed the ADGs, IGs, SPs and DSPs to make surprise visits to police stations.
Police work during night reviewed thoroughly
The officials checked the presence of night staff and effectiveness of patrolling done by them, updated status of FIR, crime register, maalkhana, missing persons’ and women-related cases in police stations.
Public hearing system was reviewed
Actual implementation of smart policing and technical resources (such as CCTV, cyber desk, mobile patrol etc), review of the quality of public hearing system and police behaviour towards citizens were all checked.
After the inspection, instructions were given that the women's help desk, cyber cell and public hearing system should remain functional in police stations properly.
Investigations should be completed in a timely manner. FIR, crime register, malkhana and other records should be kept updated and organised. Night patrolling should be ensured and the presence of beat officers should be certified.
