Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar has said that a letter will be written to all state assemblies seeking details about the best practices being followed in their respective Houses.
“The best practices of other state assemblies will be studied and selected and a report will be sent to the Parliament,” Tomar told media persons here on Monday.
Replying to a question, the Speaker clarified that during the meeting no discussion was held regarding the constitution of Vidhan Parishad in Madhya Pradesh with the speakers as it was not on the agenda.

The meeting was attended by Uttar Pradesh Assembly speaker Satish Mahana, Rajasthan speaker Vasudev Devnani, Himachal Pradesh speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Sikkim speaker Mingma Norbu Sherpa, Odisha speaker Surma Padhi and West Bengal Speaker Biman Banerjee.
The next meeting of the speakers will be held in Rajasthan, informed Tomar.
The minutes of the meeting will be shared with the Parliament. During the discussions, MP Assembly Speaker Tomar raised the issue of the role of technology in the functioning of committees. He inquired how technology can help enhance their working.
