The order highlights the significant damage caused by stubble burning, both in terms of agriculture and the environment. Fires in the fields not only threaten crops but also lead to the destruction of public property, natural vegetation, and wildlife.
The harmful effects of such fires extend to the soil where beneficial microbes are destroyed, resulting in declining fertility and reduced agricultural productivity.
Additionally, burning stubble wastes potential organic matter that could naturally enrich the soil. The ban has been enforced across all areas within the district and authorities have been instructed to display the order on notice boards at Sub-Divisional/Executive Magistrate offices, police stations, and Panchayat offices.
Executive Magistrates and Police Station In-charges will ensure compliance through regular monitoring. Effective immediately, violators will face action under the relevant sections of the BNS.
