AIIMS Bhopal Implements Digital Healthcare 'Swasthya App' To Transform Patient Experience
Patients can now book appointments online without standing in queues, access lab reports instantly, receive real-time updates about OPD schedules, doctors, room numbers, and consultation fees, and view digital prescriptions

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): AIIMS Bhopal has implemented a Digital Health Initiative – the innovative AIIMS Bhopal Swasthya App.
Patients can now book appointments online without standing in queues, access lab reports instantly, receive real-time updates about OPD schedules, doctors, room numbers, and consultation fees, and view digital prescriptions issued during their consultations.

The app also facilitates the creation and linking of ABHA IDs (Ayushman Bharat Health Account), helping patients maintain a unified digital health identity. Users can track the status of their appointments and services in real-time, access their financial history and receipts, and even register themselves on-site using a QR code for faster processing.
To support this digital transformation, AIIMS Bhopal has strengthened its on-ground infrastructure by establishing dedicated registration counters equipped with Scan & Share technology using ABHA IDs, and by creating separate revisit and referral counters to streamline services and minimize patient waiting times.

Director Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, said, “At AIIMS Bhopal, we are not just adopting digital technologies—we are fundamentally reshaping the way healthcare is delivered. The Swasthya App and our broader digital health mission aim to provide every patient with accessible, accountable, and transparent medical services.”
