Colombo: Sri Lankan authorities have detained four Indian fishermen on Thursday for poaching in the country’s northern waters.

A fishing trawler belonging to the fishermen was also taken into custody, Xinhua news agency reported.

The arrest comes just days after 29 Indian fishermen were detained by the Sri Lankan navy for illegally entering its waters in the north and north western seas.
