London : Russia has used its veto at the United Nations to block a draft resolution on setting up an international tribunal into the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crash in July 2014. According to the BBC, Russia is the only country to oppose the move at the 15-member UN Security Council, triggering widespread condemnation. Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crashed in eastern Ukraine while travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, killing all 298 people on board. Ukraine and the West have been accusing pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine saying there is evidence it was hit by a Russian-supplied Buk anti-aircraft missile while Russia denies all allegations.
