Syria : As the civil war in Syria enters its sixth year, several Syrians continue to live a breathless life with uncertainty of how long will they survive from the airstrikes which have killed over thousands.

The Syrians battle normal life every day for survival.

CNN in its report revealed that as they stepped in Syria there was a sickening moment between hearing the planes and waiting for them to drop their payload. A person could die anytime with no idea of when and where the strike would hit.

Where the strike hits, there are people screaming for help. Rescue workers shouting for ambulance and volunteers digging the rubble trying to pull out the people from the debris.

The survivors cursing President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian supporters for the present state of affairs in the country.

The scene could be heart wrenching with doctors asking the people to get back and a family weeping softly.

These are the sounds of everyday life in northern Syria. Five year into the war now, the attacks, particularly the airstrikes, made against the areas controlled by rebels are unstoppable and painful.

The airstrikes began with crudely made barrel bombs pushed, seemingly out of the back of Syrian Air Force helicopters. Russia last year joined the fight making the airstrikes powerful and punishing, reports CNN.

According to the monitoring groups, nearly 2,000 civilians have been killed since the Russian intervention began.
