Now, car that runs on processed sewage!

New York : Turn your nose up first. Car maker Hyundai USA has announced a new vehicle this spring that is fueled by processed sewage! Out for lease, the new Tucson Fuel Cell crossover vehicle runs on hydrogen gas derived from excreta. For this innovative move, Hyundai looked at scientists working at University of California Irvine. They were busy converting waste from toilets and sinks into hydrogen. How did they do this? The researchers from the National Fuel Cell Research Centre at University of California Irvine separated solids from water, fed to microbes that turned it into methane and CO2. They then filtered some of methane gas and piped into a special device. This hydrogen goes directly into a public pump for refueling vehicles, said media reports. According to Hyundai USA, this vehicle can achieve better range and refuel faster than battery electric vehicles.

Divine intervention! Bible saves man’s life in US

Chicago : A man in the US was shot twice in the chest from point blank range but survived the attack as the Bible he was carrying absorbed the bullets that would have otherwise killed him. Rickey Waggoner, a 49-year-old bus driver in Dayton, Ohio, was making a mechanical fix outside his bus on Monday when three assailants approached him and shot him in what appears to have been a gang initiation. Waggoner was shot twice in the chest at close range, but a contemporary version of the Bible, titled “The Message,” absorbed the bullets that would otherwise have killed him, according to police documents cited by Dayton Daily News, reports PTI. “There was obviously some kind of intervention involved in this incident because (Waggoner) should probably not be here,” Dayton Police Sergeant Michael Pauley told the paper. Eugene H Peterson, author of “The Message,” told Fox News that he was thrilled to know his book stopped bullets.
