Kathmandu : Bodies of four climbers, including two foreigners and a woman, have been found at a high-altitude camp on Mount Everest, taking the total number of fatalities on the world’s tallest peak to 10 this season.
The four bodies, two foreigners and two Nepalis, were spotted by mountain guides inside a tent at camp IV at 7,950 meters on Tuesday while they were searching for the body of a Slovak mountaineer.
“Six Sherpa climbers were there to recover the body of a Slovakian solo climber Vladimir Strba who died at Camp IV on Sunday,” said Mingma Sherpa, Managing Director Seven Summit Treks, a Kathmandu-based agency that runs expeditions and rescue operations on the 8,848-metre-high Everest. PTI
