Make literature come alive at The Fourth Mumbai International Literary Festival. This year there will be an exhibition of unique cricket memorabilia by Boria Majumdar to coincide with Sachin Tendulkar’s participation in his career’s 200th and last Test match. Each day will see engaging panel discussions; book launches and conversations between eminent authors, publishers and literary agents; poetry readings; and engrossing talks and lectures by eminent experts. On the centenary of Tagore’s Nobel prize, Prof Sugata Bose from Harvard will launch his new translation of Gitanjali while psychoanalyst Sudhir Kakar’s book, Young Tagore will also be released on the occasion. Western Classical Music Concert
For all classical music lovers in the city, Prithvi Theatre brings a special evening that will have on stage some of the talented members of The Symphony Orchestra of India. Carol George, Averell DeSouza, Francis Mendes and Vsevolod Yudenich will be here on stage to present before you some of the best composition for string quartet by some big names like Mozart, Dvorak, Brahms, Borodin, Piazzolla, and J.
