Mukhi, No longer on top

Moshes, Cuffe Parade

When Moshe first opened a retaurant (Basilico) he brought a light, middle-eastern touch to the food (he has lived in Israel). However once he left Basilico to open Moshe’s at Cuffe Parade, the food seemed to change character. In particular I found it lacking in subtlety and rather heavy on the “masala”. I assume this has been done for the benefit of the so-called “Indian Palate”, but having a risotto that burns your tongue (or anything whose flavours are eclipsed by garlic and red chilly) is not what I appreciate and it’s definitely not the spirit of Mediterranean food. So, though the menu has been fairly inventive and the presentation is good,

I wouldn’t rate Moshe’s on par with say Indigo Deli. Still, it remains one of the “good” addresses to dine at in South Bombay.

Pri1611, Awesome!

Moshes, Cuffe Parade

Everything about the restaurant is superb. The ambience, service, food & especially the desserts…starting off with the jalapeno and parsley fondue & hummus and pita bread…they were simply delicious…for mains we ordered for the orange butter paprika ravioli.. loved the flavour which was so different than usual…also called for a risotto…And then came the desserts…Huge slice of yummy red velvet cake & a perfectly prepared Philadelphia cheese cake!! Definitely will go there again and again and again.
