Summer Forest Trails

What: BNHS Conservation Education Centre (CEC) in Goregaon is all set to take the nature lovers on an exciting trip into the wilderness through a guided forest trail, while understanding the flora and fauna. The vibrant blossoms of early summer like Indian Laburnum, Soccer Ball Tree, Pongam Tree, wild species of Jasmine; new foliage of many trees and the fruiting of Indian Black Berry will be the major attractions. Animals like Spotted Deer, Sambar, Barking Deer and Hanuman Langur and dozens of bird species including White-rumped Shama, Indian Grey Hornbill, Crested Serpent Eagle, Puff-throated Babbler, Common Hawk Cuckoo, Golden Oriole and Brown-headed Barbet are also likely to be seen or heard. Activities: Two-hour forest trail, followed by breakfast, slide show/presentation and quiz. Charges: Rs 300 per person (including forest trail, indoor session and breakfast). Sunday Forest Walks

What: Keeping in mind the early sunrises, hot daytime temperatures and late sunsets, SGNP has initiated guided nature treks starting late in the afternoon and culminating in the evening. So, join their naturalists on forest treks as the shadows get longer, the air gets cooler and as birds and other animals go into a frenzy of activity before winding up their day schedules and settling for the night.

These walks are designed in such a way that they will culminate on the Kanheri hills and offer the participants panoramic views of the ‘city-forest’ scape. SNGP naturalists will further enhance your experience with interesting sightings as well as bits and pieces of natural history and nature information.  International Kids Festival

What: To make this summer vacation truly about fun and learning and to

enhance the experience of children while on their summer breaks, High Street Phoenix will host the International Kids Festival in association with Brainstorm Entertainment. A for Abracadabra –Advanced: Magic Workshops

What: A Fun based Magic Learning workshop to enable the participants to develop creativity, imagination, and confidence through the art of Magic.
