International Yoga Day 2019: PM Modi’s recent yoga video will help you get rid of lower back pain

International Yoga Day is around the corner and PM Narendra Modi has already sharing yoga videos every day on Twitter to inspire people across the country. The yoga video is part of the series of animated videos which began on June 5 and 12 videos have been posted so far. The recent video shares the benefits of ‘Shalabhasana’.

PM Modi tweets, “Stronger wrists, back muscles and prevention of spondylitis...just some of the reasons why practising Shalabhasana is beneficial.”

The 3D video shows Narendra Modi’s animated version donning a blue T-shirt and black track pants performing yoga asanas while a voice-over in the background highlights the benefits of the asana.

According to the recent video posted on June 17, here are the benefits of ‘Shalabhasana’:

· Get rid of lower back pain and Sciatica

· Shapes the muscles

· Reduces thigh fat

· Good for stomach and helps in digestion

Pregnant women, and those suffering from peptic ulcer, hernia, hypertension and heart disease, should avoid doing the asana.
