The incident took place on a JetBlue flight when passengers where deplaning at the John F. Kennedy Airport. Several visuals have surfaced online from the airport reporting the incident. One of TikTok users stuck on the flight filmed it and shared it on the social networking site, which eventually went viral. It showed passengers standing next to their seats to alight from the transport, however, an announcement requests people to move towards the middle to manage the crisis.

Speaking to the media, a spokesman of the JetBlue flight, the airline that tipped back, said the incident to have occurred due to "A shift in weight and balance during deplaning." "The tail of the aircraft tipped backward causing the nose of the aircraft to lift up and eventually return back down," he added.
