All-women team formed by the Central Railway

An all-women team has been formed by the Central Railway to undertake the responsibility of intensive examination of freight trains at Kalyan Goods Yard in Maharashtra.

The 10 member team will perform tasks such as under gear examination, underframes and side panels examination, air brake testing and on rake attention for defective components of the locomotives.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal shared a video on Twitter that showed the women at work. The post titled as 'Nari Shakti' or women power received over 75 thousand views and more than 8 thousand likes on the microblogging site.

Many users lauded the team for the efforts put in by them and their contribution towards women empowerment. One user wrote "Abusing Men or being vocal only on SM is not women empowerment..!! This is real women empowerment..!! Good Job @RailMinIndia and @PiyushGoyal ..!! Keep it up, Nation is with the lady.

Another wrote "Commendable. Go girls rule the world. God bless you all always"

Several other while appreciating the initiative also pointed out to the lack of safety gear.
