Bhayandar: Less than 12 hours after the brutal murder of a private security guard at an under construction site in Kashimira on Saturday afternoon, the police managed to apprehend a 32-year-old mason for his involvement in the gruesome crime, which is said to be the fallout of constant arguments owing to previous enmity. The accused has been identified as Indramani Dhaneshwar Bhoi (32), a native of a remote village in Orissa.
While hunting for a mason’s job, Bhoi met the deceased, Prakash Naik (25), his old time foe who worked at an under construction site in the Hatkesh area of Kashimira. Soon they engaged into a heated argument. Later, Bhoi went to Naik’s hutment and crushed his head with a stone before slashing his throat with a knife at around 3:30 pm on Saturday. Naik died on the spot.
Immediately after getting information about the incident, a team led by Senior Police Inspector Vaibhav Shingare apprehended the accused during the wee hours on Sunday. – Suresh Golani“Prima facie it appears that the accused and the deceased were locked in some old dispute which led to frequented arguments between them. Further investigations were on to ascertain the exact motive which triggered the crime,” said Shingare. A case under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered against the accused who has been remanded to police custody.
