Ujjain : The Neelganga police on Wednesday claimed to have cracked a blind murder case of a youth. It has booked 5 persons for allegedly killing the youth and dumping his body. On September 18, the body of a youth, identified as Rafiq alias Pappu (23) son of Shafi Shah, was found lying near Neelganga cemetery. The police had launched inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC after complaint was registered by father of the deceased. The case, which appeared to be natural death, took a major twist when the post mortem report found the death was due to asphyxiation. The report stated that the death occurred due to asphyxia after which of a case under Section 302 of the IPC was registered. During investigation, it came to light that Rafiq murder was well planned and the reason behind the murder was allegedly illicit relations with a wife of deceased.

The youths were said to be drug addicts. Master mind Naseem alias Bhaiyyu was the master mind behind the murder, it was him who has developed illicit relationship with wife of Rafiq. Seeing Rafiq as only obstacle Naseem decided to remove it. He roped in 4 other friends by luring them for Rs 5000 each and killed Rafiq in an intoxicated state and abandoned the body at cemetery.

4 of the accused have been already sent to jail, Naseem will be produced in court on Thursday.
