Youth trying to open fire on rival arrested

Ujjain: GRP police arrested a youth who was trying to open fire on his rival at the railway station on Tuesday evening. The accused is reported to be a historysheeter and was in the hit list of police.

According to police, Montu Gurjar, a resident of Dhancha Bhavan locality was standing at LOTI school triangle near railway station at about 7 pm on Tuesday. Accused Gaurav Parihar along with his friends Shyam Khatiq and Vinod Thakur of Shanti Nagar reached at the spot. Gaurav and Montu had a quarrel over some issue. Gaurav took out a pistol to open fire on Montu but he could not shoot Montu due to some problem in his pistol. Montu ran towards the railway station. Gaurav and his friends followed him.

GRP in- charge Sanju Kamle was present at platform number- 2 and saw them running. Kamle and other cops caught the Gaurav.

Gaurav told police that he was a resident of Vishwa Bank Colony Extension. He committed several crimes along with Montu, who is the brother of criminal Rounak Gurjar imprisoned in Bhairavgarh Jail. Gaurav is living with his family at Dahod.

But Montu joined hands with Gaurav’s enemies. When Gaurav knew about the cheating by Montu and decided to kill him. Accomplices of the accused escaped from the spot. Police is searching for Montu and two others.
